As soon as we walked into the restaurant, she greeted us with a mouth full of food. Then when we told her what we wanted, she rudely interrupted while we were telling her our order. Then we asked for waters and we’re charged $1.50 for it. Then realized the prices on the menu were different than what they were from our total. The owner was punishing her kid having him cry while us and other customers were enjoying our food as well. Would not come here ever again.
I stay in Sweetwater about once a month passing through for work. Decided to try this place. Got a a few things to try. Shrimp fried rice. S & S chicken and pork egg roll. After reading reviews I knew the portions were big and I wouldn't be able to eat it all but I could atleast try them. The chicken was great. The breading was not to soft but not crunchy and has a good flavor. The S&S was a lil too liquidy but the flavor was there. The shrimp tasted like frozen pre cooked stuff i can buy at the local grocery store and the fried rice was a lil dry. The egg roll was half burnt and wrapped loose.
I ordered chicken fried rice. I didn't finish because chicken was still pink. The rice was bland too. They only have one size drink cup. 16oz. The gist watched movies on her phone instead of greeting guest warmly. She was like the Flow of the Asian world.
Well, like others have said the food is reasonably priced and from what I tasted before I discovered a cooked bug it didn't taste bad...
I sat through the entire meal while one of the owners kids was being punished by having to face the wall. I was asked for my preference of rice then found there was an additional $2 for anything other than white. At least let me know when asking. I'm charged full drink price for tap water. Also, someone needs to explain to the owner that tipping is never appropriate for the owner. Why two stars? The food wasn't all bad.
Probably wouldn't have posted this if they would have handled the issue correctly. They were adamant that the bug I found in my rice was a piece of broccoli (I've never seen broccoli with a tiny head and feet) and weren't gonna admit there was any issue with the food but didn't hesitate to give me a refund. They showed no sighs that they would attempt to correct the problem by at least throwing out their last batch of cooked rice and inspecting the uncooked rice.
For the price and portion size it was a good deal. The food wasn't bad. If I eat from here again it'll be only S&S chicken. Oh and the delivered to my hotel.
