I think this is the restaurant I ate at 39 years ago when it was called "Lizzie's Fried Chicken" my mother's aunt owned it. Great food!

What a neat experience!! This place is unlike anywhere you've been. It has a daily menu that is a set meal and it doesn't change. Good home cooking, with the best peach cobbler I have ever had. $10 a person for all you can eat. Yes, thank you!

Allen's has two buildings with a parking lot between them. Lunch is served "family style" in the older, light green building on the west side of the parking lot. Dinner is served in the newer, red building on the east side. Dinner is served buffet style, NOT family style. While the food is equally good in each building, I highly recommend lunch the first time you go. Eating family style is an important part of the experience and you are unlikely to to find this opportunity elsewhere
